  • At the beginning of the 90s, there were no more certified weaving mills for cleaning cloths in Germany.
  • BIM has closed this gap in the market with the production of cleaning cloths.
  • Our weaving mill has existed at the company headquarters in Gerstungen since 1994.
  • BIM has thus expanded its range of services to include its own products.
  • In order to react flexibly to increasing customer requirements, we expanded the production area of the weaving mill in 2011 and invested in additional technology.

Cleanliness In the Reusable Process

In the past, cleaning cloths had to be disposed of as hazardous waste after use because of the components they contain, such as oil, grease and paint. The trend is clearly toward reusable cloths, a cost-effective alternative that also conserves resources and protects the environment.

The reason is obvious: Disposing of single use cleaning cloths is becoming increasingly expensive and is no longer justifiable from the point of view of sustainability.

This is where we are the right partner for you with our reusable cloths.

We are committed to the environment - and we act accordingly.

  • The manufacturing processes in the weaving mill are certified according to DIN ISO 9001, 14001 and EMAS as well as OHSAS 18001.
  • The yarns to be processed comply with OEKO-TEX® Standard 100.
  • The company works with renewable energy from its own production.
  • Modern and environmentally friendly weaving technology is used in the weaving mill.
  • BIM is a member of the Sustainability Agreement Thuringia.
  • Our own fleet of vehicles takes over the transport of the cleaning cloths from and to the customer with environmentally friendly vehicles Services related to the vehicle fleet (purchase, repair, washing) are performed in the region.

BIM Concept Closes the Loop

With our BIM Circuit, we offer our customers a closed-loop concept: from the production of cleaning cloths to the leasing of rental cloths to the cleaning service. The rental cleaning cloths that come into the company on a regular basis via this loop are washed without wastewater.

In two modern, electronically controlled washing plants, we return the process wastewater to the washing cycle after several treatment stages.
